Luxury Travel Advisor & Custom Safari Planner
Some travellers know exactly what they want. Others just know they want it to matter. Either way, the conversation starts the same way — with questions.
I've been in this industry in one capacity or another since 1991, and Africa is where I learned the work: managing river operations on the Tugela, leading groups through the bush, and discovering first-hand which camps live up to their photographs and which quietly don't. Four continents later, that instinct travels. It applies just as well to a river lodge deep in the Amazon, a ship pushing into Antarctic ice, or a week in the hill towns of Italy.
What I really do is hold complicated journeys together. A three-week itinerary might involve five operators, four aircraft, two languages and a guide who has to be the guide — and to you it should feel like one trip, not five bookings stapled together. That orchestration is the craft, and it's the part most people underestimate until something goes sideways at eleven at night in a place with no signal.
Most of the travellers I work with are semi-retired or retired — people with the time to do this properly and no patience for wasting it.
And I don't send a proposal and disappear. We'll talk it through, in person or on a call, and I'll give you the options, the honest trade-offs, and what I'd choose myself.
If you've been thinking about this trip for a while, that's usually the sign.
Let's talk.
